Why the Change
ASN began as a name tied to its founder, Amir Shakur. As the network has grown — ASN News USA, Chicago Urban Daily News, the Amir Shakur Speaks Morning Show, 7 Minutes of Motivation, and the Amir Shakur Speaks Broadcast Channel, and, in association, The Thornton Township Advocate — the name now reflects the whole sphere it serves: news from every corner of the globe, told by real voices.

Everything readers know stays in place: the ASN News USA and Chicago Urban Daily News sites, the daily newsroom, the same tagline, and the same founder behind it. ASN News USA continues as a division of ASN News Global. Only the meaning of the letters has grown — from one name to the whole sphere.
