Second FBI Shooting in Three Days: Man Killed as Agents Serve Warrant in Dixmoor

NEWS FLASH

CHICAGO (CHICAGO URBAN DAILY)— For the second time in three days, an FBI agent has been involved in a fatal shooting in the Chicago area — this time in south suburban Dixmoor.

The FBI said an agent-involved shooting left one person dead around 7 a.m. Wednesday near 145th Street and Cooper Avenue, during what the bureau called court-authorized law enforcement activity. Family members identified the man killed as 22-year-old Chadwick Clark Jr., a Chicago rapper known as LoWick.

No FBI personnel were injured, the bureau said. What prompted the shooting has not been disclosed — federal officials have not said what the warrant was for, who agents were looking for, or whether Clark was armed.

Neighbors reported flash-bang devices and gunfire at the home, and responders were seen performing CPR on a person before loading them into an ambulance. A police source told FOX Chicago that about five people were taken into custody in connection with the operation.

The shooting is under review by the FBI’s Inspection Division, the bureau’s internal office that investigates agent-involved shootings. The FBI said it had no further details to share.

It comes just two days after an off-duty FBI agent fatally shot a man in Pilsen on Monday evening — a shooting the bureau is also reviewing. Two fatal FBI shootings in one week, in two very different neighborhoods, and the same unanswered questions in both.
