CHICAGO URBAN DAILY
CHICAGO (CHICAGO URBAN DAILY)— Saturday night in Chicago is a full house — a jam-band institution at the United Center, an R&B anniversary, a country crooner in a mask, and stages packed from Uptown to Pilsen. Here is where the city is headed tonight.
The biggest room belongs to Dave Matthews Band, bringing the fall tour to the United Center at 7:30 p.m. Over at the Arie Crown Theater, legendary R&B group Jodeci celebrates the 35th anniversary of Forever My Lady at 8 p.m. — a night for the slow jams and the memories.
In Uptown, Venezuelan favorites Rawayana bring their ¿Dónde es el after? World Tour to the Aragon Ballroom at 8 p.m. And at The Salt Shed, Orville Peck takes the stage at 8 p.m. with the Man Turned Mule Tour.
Comedy fans have options too: Bert Kreischer brings his Permission To Party World Tour to the Chicago Theatre, and Rickey Smiley hosts his Karaoke Night. For something different, The Music of Hey Arnold Live! — with composer Jim Lang and The PS 118 AllStars — takes over the House of Blues at 7 p.m.
For the arts crowd, Ballets Jazz Montreal performs Dance Me: The Music of Leonard Cohen at the Auditorium Theatre, and the Black Harvest Film Festival screens EVERYDAY PEOPLE at the Gene Siskel Film Center at 2:15 p.m. The First Nations Film and Video Festival continues through November 10 — admission is free.
Earlier in the day, Chicago Fire FC closes out the home stretch against Columbus Crew at SeatGeek Stadium at 3 p.m.
Pick your room. Chicago has one for every mood tonight.
