CHICAGO (CHICAGO URBAN DAILY)— Chicago proved once again it is one of the great wrestling towns in America. AEW’s All Out sold out the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates on Saturday night, delivering a card that will be talked about for a long time.
In the main event, Will Ospreay retained the AEW World Championship, finally beating Jon Moxley — the man who trained him and had beaten him every time before. The two shook hands after a war that closed the show.
The Young Bucks stole the night in a wild three-way ladder match, beating Adam Copeland and Christian Cage and FTR to become the first four-time AEW World Tag Team Champions in history. It was the only title to change hands on a card where seven championships were on the line.
Also on the night: Thekla beat Willow Nightingale to earn a shot at Women’s World Champion Mercedes Moné at WrestleDream, Swerve Strickland and the New Level kept the Trios titles, and Andrade El Ídolo, Kazuchika Okada, the Brawling Birds and Persephone all retained.
Nine matches. A sold-out building. Chicago showed up loud.
