In MEMORIAM: CHICaGO Sheriff Shamone Duncan
The family of 50-year-old Deputy Shamone Duncan said she was killed in a shooting on the rooftop of Aziza Restaurant & Lounge in Providenciales.
It was supposed to be a weekend of celebration for Deputy Duncan. Her only son, Shamon Payton, told ABC7 she was in Turks and Caicos for her sister’s birthday. Gunfire rang out outside of a party, and the grandmother was hit by a stray bullet. Shamon was funeralized on February 11, 2025 (CUDN)

Sheryl “Sherrie” Amato was a resident of Bloomingdale, IL. She was 70 years old. She went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. This happened at Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital. She was born October 6, 1954, in Elmhurst, IL to James & Dorothy Nelson and raised in Itasca, Illinois.
